im being told from my dealer that my timing chains stretch on my 20099 maxima is this possible

It is possible,but it usually doe,s not happen unless car was ran hot,meaning extreme heat,normally the chain tentioner,came loose or wore out,that cause,s this problem.

I'm thinking the tensioner needs replacement but the dealer is telling me the chains strecthed so they can charge me $3600 car never ran hot and drives fine I have 3 codes 1014,1042,&1042
