I need help fast . My dad bought a 2007 530i with 300k on it for 7500 plus was taxed on 2500$ what he said he bought it for off his friend . 300km in nice condition what's it worth?

The engine , camshaft and seals are finished
and my friend says there could be more
damage he won't know till further
investigation. Dad payed 7500 to help out
his friend financially drove 877km  and the
car died . What's it really worth before his
friend screwed him surely not 7500

Buyer beware. I don't know what failed exactly, but this could be one of two cases... 1- the seller knew about it and sold it anyway, or 2- it was going to happen anyway, and nobody was able to tell it was going to happen. In that case, you can't blame the seller, especially if he's not mechanically inclined. Assuming USD, it's probably a $1,000 car at the most for a non-runner. Depending on condition, of course. In running condition, it would of course be worth more, but it's still probably only a $5k car.
