Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello, can anyone help me with my car alarm?  I
have a Toyota Camry 2009 XLE. Out of nowhere my
alarm keeps going off all hours of the night. I tried
taking out the fuse and that did not work. Can
someone please tell me how I can permanently
disable the car alarm? The only way I'm getting by
right now is by constantly unhooking the battery.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

I need some help , my toyota camry 07 turns on alarm after rain even if it's parked. What might be the cause and what should I do? Luckily I am always available and near the parking but in case it happens at night it might cause inconvenience.

A common problem with Camrys and the alarm is the hood sensor. The sensor is just a switch that is in the closed position when the hood is shut. When it becomes dirty or corroded it cannot make the connection and then cannot close the circuit. Or in this case barely closes the circuit and with temp and humidity changes loses the connection while just sitting there. It is located in the hood latch. I cut the wires to the switch and soldered them together creating a permanently closed circuit. I have not had an issue since. There are a couple of videos about this on you tube.

I am having the same problem with my camry 2009 xle. My alarm goes off within 15 minutes after I park my car somewhere. Then I have to switch on/off the car few times and lock/unlock to permanently stop the issue. It again starts when I go somewhere and park my car. This has started happening suddenly. Any help ?

The connector for the sensor is the issue, as everyone has said. I unplugged the male and female connectors for the hood's sensor and squeezed in a small piece of aluminum foil into the female connector, and I no longer see "hood open" on my dash board or have the annoying alarm go off every time.
