Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My yellow engine run hot signal popped up, within
2 mins it turned red and car wouldnt accelerate. I
pulled over and turned car off. The fan has been
extremely loud lately and my heater stopped
working. Not sure of related. What to do? What
xould be the issue

I would check the coolant level but I think your car needs a complete cooling system service - hoses, flush, thermostat etc.

I just had a new thermostat pur in as well as a flush :(

Check the coolant level when the car is cool. Do you have white exhaust smoke?

Coolant full and no smoke. Maybe the water pump?

  • BMW running hot 1998 328i 3 answers

    I've changed water pump, replaced fan clutch, replaced coolant reservoir, replaced oil filter gasket and valve cover gasket, changed oil and filter. But it still runs hot fast.
