car grinds when driving, wont pick up speed, and has a loud smell coming from right tire
I took my car to a mechanic because my 2008 Hyundai Accent would not pick up speed
after 20 mph and i heard grinding noise as i was driving the mechanic told me i needed to
replace the master cylinder, brake pads, and the two front rotors, so i did. the grinding
noise went away but the smell is still there and it still won't pick up speed. its in the shop
now and he mentioned something about the ABS someone explain please?
Abs is the cars way to keep tires from skidding out of control by use of a computer and speed sensors on each wheel. If system is bad could cause problems your having.
is it fixable?
Yes your mechanic should be able to fix.
does it typically cause a smell? because my car has a smell when it happens, and also my ABS light isn't on
