what causes a 2008 pontiac g6 headlight harness to melt? its my second harness?

replaced harness twice. each time it melted. was the passenger low beam light.

Mine was melted when I bought it. Replaced it and haven't had a problem since. Make sure all works are connected tight. And DO NOT USE ELECTRICAL TAPE TO TAPE THEM OFF!!! USE WIRE CAPS! !!
