what causes a 2008 pontiac g6 headlight harness to melt? its my second harness?

replaced harness twice. each time it melted. was the passenger low beam light.

Usually a short circuit, but not enough to blow the fuse. Check the area of the light for corrosion and trace back to the headlight switch to check all wires.

Mine was melted when I bought it. Replaced it and haven't had a problem since. Make sure all works are connected tight. And DO NOT USE ELECTRICAL TAPE TO TAPE THEM OFF!!! USE WIRE CAPS! !!
