How far should my exhaust tip stick out?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Obviously, this exhaust tip is sticking too far out. Should it be lined up with the
edge of the bumper, at the edge of the exhaust cut-out, or right in between
them?

It's a bit subjective. I like to see them neatly tucked in, but protruding enough that everything doesn't immediately get black and sooty from the exhaust. I'd set it with about an inch of pipe at the very top protruding past the top of the cutout and see how that looks.
