at what point do you give out a vin #?

buyer asked for vin #...I stated it was given to Car Gurus.

You can give out your VIN. The potential buyer probably just wants to get a vehicle history report such as a Carfax report. They can't get any of your personal information from the VIN. Hope that helps! Jim
