high beams working, running lights not working

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi,

My high beams lights are working well. Fog lights are working well. Flashers
too. But running lights are not. I checked all fuses and they are all fine.
Relays seems to be fine too. I changed the bulbs with brand new, same
thing. Any idea what it can be?

Thanks.

Check the light sockets for corrosion. I had turn lamps that wouldn't work even with new bulbs. I cleaned the sockets for both and now they work.

I checked them when I changed the bulks are they look super nice. Also, the rear red lights are neither working... Only the high beams. Weird.

Subaru, common issue with those years is a bad headlamp dimmer switch on the steering column.

Ha, interesting! Thanks. I will "open" the steering column tomorrow morning and see if I can test that by bypassing it. I will keep this updated.

So if we are talking about the picture below, I bought one, received it this week, installed it, and it doesn't make a difference. Bulbs are also new. Any idea what I can check next? Fuse are ok.

The back lights were because of the bulbs. They are fixed. Front lights still not working even with new dimmer and new bulbs. I checked all the relays and they are ok. anyway they are to switch from high to low and high is working. All fuse are good too. What is the Daytime Running Lamp Control Module doing? Can it be because of it?
