how can I get my small rear seat to fold down if the pull pin is broken?
the pull release pin on the rear left seat is broken so I cannot let the seat
down. is there a way to get the seat to fold down with a broken pull pin?
Try pulling the broken off stub with a pair of pliers.
if there is a stub to pull, its too far down into the seat to even see it. Thanks for your reply though!
Clearly then you will have to find a way to release it and then repair it. I don't have my old Subaru so I can't go out and look at it but you may need to have a mechanic look at it. They may not even charge you if it is fairly simple.
There will be a catch on the seat hinge and if you can get to it you may be able to push up the lock with a screw driver.
If the broken plastic knob is completely missing follow FoR's suggestion with pliers OR simply thread on a new knob...which is what you'll have to do anyway!
