what is the problem when the oil pressure goes down then back up and flutters

Bad gauge, or oil pump and screen needs replaced.Have the oil pressure checked.

Be sure you check the oil level in the motor. If the oil pressure runs high when cold, then drops when accelerating, and fluctuates when driving, it is: 1. oil level 2, too low of an oil weight (not likely) 3. oil pressure sending unit, (maybe) 4. lose wire connection to gauge or frayed wire from sending unit. (possible) 5. internal issues like a blocked oil pump pick up 6. oil pump, (sure hope not)
