**I JUST ANSWERED BASICALLY THIS SAME QUESTION RIGHT ABOVE YOU** Back GuruM2BP4about an hour ago06 ford explorer died while driving has anyone figured out why a 06 exploer just dies when driving shop says you need a new engine Maintenance & Repair 1 Danielle19 seconds ago Best Answer Well I had an 04 expedition that did the same thing, as well as my coworker with a Ford edge. The issue is the brake booster. It sounds horrible but, it's really not. I would get the brake booster online then take it to get put in. Part alone is a min 300. If you're getting like a hissing sound that accompanies it, check out the firewall around the steering column. There's an rubber seal that can dry out and crack causing the sensors to shut down the vehicle because it's giving a signal of too little or too much air getting into the engine.

The answer is the same as his. My truck did all of that. Throw it in neutral and crank it back up. Mines did it whole driving, again throw it in neutral foot off pedals crank it back to drive and keep ringing or nothing happened
