So this is brand new generator, not rebuilt? My info says rebuilders have a tough time getting ford generators correct. I'm not saying if you go to the dealership and buy a brand new generator, that it will fix the problem, I don't know? Maybe the generator you are using, isn't rebuilt but new. I don't know what testing you have done? You can use a digital multimeter and do testing at battery and generator. Any applicable trouble codes? Use multimeter leads touching both battery posts, everything off, the generic reading for a full charge is 12.6 volts, if it is down, use a charger and get it charged up. With leads still touching battery posts, have helper turn key to crank, generally the reading shouldn't drop below 9 volts. If drops way down, that won't work. You can use multimeter at generator bat terminal and take readings. So check battery--cables--generator and wiring circuits. good luck

Get an alternator with a higher output level that is compatible with your car. The "amp light" is coming on because you are drawing more power than the alternator can provide and you are draining the electrical system.
