66 mustang, 140000 miles.c4 trans works well but whines at or above 50 mph

If it's coming from the trans pump then it's a full rebuild, probably in the neighborhood of $1K. But I'd triple check where noise is coming from and make sure it's not something simpler like a TC. Check on any of the classic Mustang forums for typical whine sources.
