My battery is dying way to fast. Can someone please tell me why?

Asked by Paula07LS Apr 24, 2020 at 07:23 PM about the 2007 Chevrolet Impala LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

If I put my car into drive too fast after starting it, or if I leave the radio with the
car off for 10 mins, it completely drains the power out of my battery and I have
to get a boost. What's wrong with my car? can someone help? Do I need a
need battery or is it something more complex?

Sounds like a dead short in the battery. Take it to a local Auto parts store and have it checked. You might need a new battery and or altenator.

I just got a new alternator so it has to be the Battery. I'll go get a new battery, cross my fingers and hope it nips the problem in the bud. Thank you Chadwick
