low beams dont work

Asked by bubbaw54 Sep 05, 2016 at 10:21 AM about the 2007 Pontiac G6 Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have a 2007 G6. Every time I turn on the low
beams it blows the fuse under the hood. High
beams and parking lights all still work. Replaced
relay and headlight switch and still blowing fuse.

Since your fuse blows after the power is applied to the low beams, and the fuse is good until then, the issue is past the fuse box. If you can, follow the wire to the lights. It very well may be in the light connector. If you can, unplug the lights and then see if it blows the fuse. If it does not, the issue may be in the connector or the lights themselves shorting out.
