1999 TL has a 4 speed auto which should fit. If you wanted a manual transmission, then you will need to find a TL or CL 6spd manual as well as 4 cylinder 2.2/2.3CL pedals/clutch master and 6spd gear linkage. I would find a reputable rebuilder who can fix your transmission, manual is a huge hassle and will cause MIL light to stay on as all of the sensors the ECU is looking for will no longer be there.
