DSC (for the record) doesn't stand for Digital Speed Control, it means Dynamic Stability Control, it is Jaguars version of traction control other manufacturers call it by other names including ESP, jaguars version also handles trying to negate small driver errors in the event of emergency swerving to avoid something by automatically apply and releasing the vehicles four brakes independently of each other to keep the car in a straight line from things like ice or aqua planing
