My 1988 buick regal won't start. Was hesitating then stoped took plug wire off it started and ran for a minute then quit.
Replaced plugs& wires,fuel filter,
coils are getting spark, getting fuel in
tester, getting right preasure. Almost
turns over but won't start. Checked
fuses, relays and pump is coming on.
Why won't it start?
Clog in injector or fuel line? That's
what I'm gonna check next
Could be bad throttle position sensor, or bad crankshaft sensor. You may also have a bad ICM (Ignition Control Module) If not giving any error codes, I would guess the crankshaft sensor. You said it was hesitating and running rough. Sounds like a spark issue which would be the crank sensor.
Common issue with old 2.8 engine was bad injectors and ECM cal.chip.
