Timing Belt 07 Pilot

Asked by Nov 12, 2016 at 11:48 AM about the 2007 Honda Pilot 4 Dr EX-L

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have 160,000 miles on my Pilot.  I guess by reading some posts, that I am
way over due for a timing belt change.  I plan to get it done ASAP.  Question,
How long does it take to complete, and what type of Major problems am I
looking for if I fail to get it done.

If the belt breaks you could bend valves and even damage pistons if the engine is an interference engine. If you have some mechanical experience you could probably do the job in one weekend. A pro should have it done in one day.

Good to know. Thanks!
