2002 C5 ABS warning light appears. What causes this?

If the light remains on after start up it's a wheel sensor or a wiring problem. It could also be the ABS computer itself (unlikely). But if the ABS light comes on at start up, goes off, then comes back on when the vehicle starts moving, it's the ABS pump and modulator assembly. But to confirm this, an ABS scan tool is best.
