If you installed and after market radio and not a factory replacement, the aftermarket is not equipped for dimming, that is the wires to the left on the factory radio.

The thing that has me baffled is the second connector 2 blue wires which are used to turn on an amp and another used for a possible power ant. along with 2 rca jacks.. The jacks stumped me. what could that second connector use rca jacks for.. I didn't notice any power amps in the rear on the car

this is the connector i purchased instead of cutting the wires. I guess this could explain some of my confusion.

I need help I have installed a aftermarket radio in my 2000 grand marquis i didn't have a aftermarket harness so I just tapped into the Stock wiring I'm not sure if it matters if I use a hardness which I don't think it should since I'm tapping into the Stock harness to from after market radio. Maybe I don't have to correct wires connected? Does anyone have the color codes. Also for my right rear positive I looked at what i think was the correct color codes it said the positive was a brown/pink but I didn't see any only brown/pink and pink/Orange nighter harness connected had them colors
