1990 chevy c1500 5.7l will not start

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Got a 1990 chevy c1500 5.7l engine that will not
start. It will spin as long as the battery and starter
will hold up but will not fire up and run. The timing
is correct. Has plenty of fuel. Spark is good.
Compression is good. I can unplug the injectors
and it will try to fire off. Plug the injectors back in
and it will just spin. At a loss of what could be the
problem. Any suggestions?

Possibly flooded? From the description you gave, it sounds like a rich gas mix. Hold gas pedal to the floor while cranking to purge
