Chevy engine

I have a 94 chevy truck and the engine went out.
The only engine i can find is a 96. Will it fit?? Or
does it have to be a 94??

If you’re talking a 305 or 350 yes it will fit. Problem is you need to drag more from the 96 than just the motor over. Tons more sensors so the ecm/pcm needs to come with it.
