Voltage light on does this indicate bad alternator?

93 Roadmaster voltage dash light came on, is this bad alternator/voltage
regulator?

Generally speaking yes it indicates an issue with the charging system (i.e. Alternator/voltage regulator) If you have a volt meter handy. Make sure the battery is fully charged start the car and check your voltage at the battery terminals. You should have between 13.5 and 14.5 Volts DC. If you are only reading 12 Volts then the battery is doing all the work and the Alternator is not working. The regulator on these is internal and is a part of the alternator. So when you replace it everything will be new/rebuilt.
