i was working on my buddies 2007 avalanche. C.E.light was on. its the tps. the dealers says you have to replace the whole T.B. anybody heard of this?
Nope, just looked it up on rockauto.com. Once on the sight put in the vehicle information and click on air/fuel. The throttle position sensor will pop up. You may have to remove the throttle body to get to it, I don't know. But you don't have to replace the whole throttle body. HTH. -Jim
They may have meant the IAC/TB. On the drive by wire trucks without the throttle cable the old Idle Air Control Valve has been integrated into the TB. A stepper motor now controls your main throttle blade and takes care of both idle air and throttle. These need to be replaces as one unit.
