Can I put a 97 lt4 engine in my 93 v8 camaro

Need put a new engine in my 93 camaro.  Can a lt4
engine from 97 camaro fit inside? Is there any
difference besides horse power?

A bunch of stuff, electronics is the big thing, transmissions, exhaust, even suspensions. It just depends on how far and how much money you want to spend on this job.

How about a 93 corvette engine? Is that a simple install with out having to do any changes?


Yes that should work, but to get the performance up you will have to chip the ECM in the Camaro.

Im not good with terms. What does chip the ecm mean?

And what exact chip should I put in?


On these older ECM's there is a Prom that you can change out, to find out what one is best for you, talk to your local speed shop. An ECM is the main processor that controls timing, fuel ratio, etc.
