When the battery light comes on it is telling you there is something wrong with the charging system most possible cause usually is the alternator not charging have alternator tested should be charging at 14 volts.

have your alternator tested. you can usually go to any auto parts store to get it checked.

Thanx for your answers! I had it towed and they claim that the battery is fried, it's going up to 30 volts when tested. Also the reason is a dead alternator. I have read that it could be the cables or that there needs to be another grounding cable added. I'm having it taken to another more trust worthy shop, so I'll see what they say. But the alternator will probably be their answer also.
