my 2007 buick lucerne cxl goes into sleep mode. Remotes don't work after 5 minutes. A dealer tells me I need a new receiver, transmitters and antenna. Any truth to this.

Unfortunately this can be the case. There could be other things. But that system did have some issues. and complete replacement is the only remedy.
