How often do you replace the coil in a 2007 Chevy Tahoe LTZ 5.3 liter engine

My coil were replaced in 2013, but now it is skipping while I am sitting idle, it is
missing.

Remember there are 8 coils on the 5.3 V8 engine any they fail at different times.

You only replace them as they go bad. It's not a tune up item like the plugs and wires. Unless you have a code for one of them chances are they are fine

    I have a 2008 Chevy Tahoe Ltz that will not restart if the engine is still hot. It has to sit for 30 mins or more before it will start. There are no driving issues once started.
