Question type: Maintenance & Repair

replaced everything and rebuilt motor. Car doesn't seem to want to run smooth.
After filling up the tank with gas, it seemed to have cleared out. But, before the
gas it cut off several times. Too scary to put granddaughter in this car! Please
give us a clue as to why this is happening.

If the problem has gone away after you filled up the fuel tank, it is possible that the old fuel was dirty and creating the situation you describe. Use the car for a couple days and if the problem does not come back, then I'd say it is OK for anyone to drive it.

The fuel is new. After taking off fuel tank and replacing the pump it was nice and clean. My husband figured it out. Ty When putting a new fuel pump in and it was wrong. We replaced with one that actually his to this car. Great parts places. So we put a new fuel filter on it. As when the word were messed up it must have messed up that. It's running great now. Thanks
