When I park on an incline, I am unable to shift gears. Please help!
If parked on an incline in my 2001 S series Jaguar, when I restart, I am unable to
shift gears. Please help!
there is a load on the transmission i would say..but when you push in the clutch and roll back a few inches you still have a problem?? is the clutck peddal /system bleed and workig ok?
That's called "winding up" the shifter. Do this, put it in park, set the parking (emergency) brake, THEN take your foot off the regular brake pedal (in that order). If it's a stick, same deal. Set the parking brake before removing your foot from the regular brake pedal. HTH. - Jim
