I think that RDS is standard only when when the vehicle has satnav. Check out this press release for more info, also ask the salesman. http://www.itisholdings.com/pdf/mercedes050105.pdf

My 2006 doesn't have sat-nav. The standard radio is the Audio-20 which does have RDS.
