Electrical or fuel problem?

Asked by WebSmart Jan 03, 2016 at 05:04 PM about the 2002 Buick Park Avenue FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2002 Buick Park Avenue. Check engine light came on and engine was
cutting out. Mechanic replaced 1 coil, and modulator board for coil. Also
replaced spark plugs and cleaned throttle body.
Car runs as normal again. But, it occassionally cuts out briefly at about 70
mph. Also coughs sometimes on acceleration. Cruise control kicks off
sometimes after about 10-15 minutes driving on freeway. No error reads
present on computer.

No it wasn't. And the problem suddenly stopped. Possibly some freed-up dirt was clogging the injector? Or the filter was clogged and needs to be replaced?

Replace fuel filter and add some fuel injector cleaner to gas tank that will help clean the injectors. Sea foam is a good injector cleaner.
