Why does my car only drive in reverse?

Asked by mike Mar 04, 2021 at 06:23 AM about the 2004 Buick Park Avenue Ultra FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Vehicle won't move in any forward gear. Works fine in reverse. Fluid level is
good and doesn't smell burnt.

Not too long ago I suddenly lost all forward driveability in my 96 PA Ultra. Took her to a shop only to discover that I sliced my crankshaft position sensor wiring when my engine shifted due to my bands for first year breaking in my tranny. You might want to have a pro take a look at your tranny
