Change crankshaft postion sensor 02 jetta 2.0 auto still wont run and still getting aame code p0322
I change the part but we also replaced the female
connector becauae a black qire was pulled out
we replaced with a beetles connector not sure if
that has anything to do with the car not starting
You replaced the connector- how did you do that? solder? splicing? you ventured into forbidden territory if you did not replace the entire assembly because the connectors have specific resistance and will not work if you cut the wires and put them back together- start there- or maybe you're just outta gas-
If you can get a fiber optic inspection tool, check thru oil pan drain plug to verify the crank position sensor ring is still attached to the crank. Mine came off of my 96 GTI...expensive to find...only three little bolts holding it. Fortunately, all 3 were found in the windage tray.
