Discoloration engine oil
I have a 2003 Dodge ram 1500 Quad cab I
poured oil in the engine while it was
running the other day and now the oil is
Sorry it was supposed to say discolored
First of all never put oil in a running engine, you may have picked up some condensation from the top end that would normally have disapated during normal driving, I would recommend changing the oil and filter as soon as possible, it is really hard to say what it could have washed down into the crankcase. HTH
So if it was a head gasket wouldn't be acting funny spit in sputtering not running right?
If it is going to act up it will do it on the initial start like first thing in the AM, it will miss on 1 or 2 cylinders blow white smoke for a while, then when the miss clears up the white smoke goes away. If you are getting these symptoms then have a block test performed.
