why do i have oil shooting out between oil filter and engine after putting in a new engine
I just put in a new engine in my 01 dodge ram 1500 5.9, now when it is running I have oil coming out between the oil filter and the engine and hard to start engine
Take the oil filter off and see if you only have one gasket there, sometimes the old gasket get stuck on the motor and you actually have two oil filter gaskets causing a leak.
I checked that....... Is there supposed to be a gasket between the oil filter mounting plate and the engine
could be the oil sending unit had that just happen to a jeep cherokee of mine it was shooting oil like a upside down waterfall thought it was a big problem but turned out to be the oil sending unit and it's not hard at all to fix
So the other day I went in a store to grab a drink came back off and oil is pouring out from under my 97 Dodge Ram 5.2 l so I thought the oil filter might be full so I did an oil change replaced the oil filter and oil pan because there was a small crack and I noticed today it’s still leaking from the oil filter I don’t know what else to do
