Engine stalled, now won't start + no oil pressure

Asked by Drew Mar 17, 2016 at 04:20 PM about the 2005 Dodge RAM 1500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey everyone I have never done this but I have run
into a brick wall with my truck, I quite recently
changed the fuel pump and then the other day as I
was driving it started to stall out and then it finally
shut off and I couldn't get it to turn back on so I
had to have it towed and now with the Q in the
awkward position it shows all the gauges working
fine except the oil pressure is at 0 however I just
replaced the oil pressure sensor switch or
whatever one calls the sending unit and it still
won't work however I pulled the oil cap off and so
moisture on the lid so I pulled my drain plug and I
drained out the oil and I flushed it through with
more oil to try to get any moisture out. I am getting
ready to run out and grab another six and a half
quarts of oil to put into her however I'm just having
a hard time getting it started however I do know
the fuel pump is fine and the sending unit is brand
new it is just not wanting to start for me and this
vehicle only has 61000 miles on it and it is a 2005
Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 liter V8 Hemi so if anybody
has any suggestions please let me know. Thanks a
million :-)
