Crank but dosent start

i have lumina ltz 2001 it is cranking but doesn't
start. when i crank the engine a bout to start, it is
starting for second and cut off again i do not now
why??? i checked the fuel pump and the spark plug
it seemed ok. (good fuel pressure and good spark).
i don't know what else i can check.
Please advice.

does your car have a chip in the key. if so mine would start then go dead crank and go dead the wire in the switch was broken cost 15.00 for part it took about 30 min to replace no problems since
