Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2000 S-10 V -6 all stock.238416 miles.
Sitting stopped in gear will see RPM,s drop and feel engine miss.
Not all  the time . May-be once or twice while sitting at a regular stop light.
Heads have been replaced with rebuild ones.
No codes stored so it's not a random miss fire that the OBD 2 can detect.

Could be a dirty injector. When were they cleaned?

Tennisshoes is right on. My first guess was the injection unit. Have someone pull and test the injectors, and the pressure coming through the railing to the injectors. When was the gas line filters changed? run some engine fuel treatment through the gas tank and see if that is a temp fix. If you have an injector starting to fail, the cleaning will not save it. In all reality, if your fuel system is dirty, it needs to be removed and have a good professional cleaning done along with a system wide test. I did this with my Ponti8ac, 120,000 miles and it cleared up a lot of suspect issues. Great to see someone else enjoys keeping a vehicle a long time. We keep our cars until we have to pay the dealer to take it in on trade-in.

Little history of my S-10. Paid cash in 04 it had 96,000 miles.in 2011 it hit 200,000 miles. In July of 12 at 210,909 miles blew head gasket. (wife was driving) Replaced heads and inspected fuel spider.Replaced fuel filter at 211,673 miles.

I would have the injectors professionally cleaned then after that on your next fill up put in a bottle of Techron, and then put in a bottle every other tankful, I had a vortec 350 that did the same thing, after doing what I just suggested my problem disappeared.
