my 2000 chevy s10 wont start?
when i turn the key on my truck to start it i dont hear the fuel pump make that zzzzzz everytime. but when i do hear it
which it is rare the truck starts right up so what is wrong with it is it in the fuses? or something messed up with the
sending unit please answer asap i need to get it fixed thank you
fuel pump relay comes to mind
thats what i thought too but i just switched it out and it still is not working
if you jump the relay will the pump activate?
how do you jump the relay and theres a new one in and it has power and is working
More than likely what is happening is this.Your in tank fuel pump is going out.Its getting stuck and not spinning. So it must be replaced. When you try to start it and you don't here the pump, try this .Use a hammer or tire tool and hit the bottom of the gas tank. This may shake the pump allowing it to spin. To replace the pump unbolt the bed of the truck and have a helper lift the bed on to the rear wheels. This will give you more than enough room to replace the pump without dropping the tank.Having the tank empty isn't needed.
