98 S10 driver side taillight socket bad
I have a 98 Chevy S10 4cyl Automatic, Lately the taillight hasnt been working
replaced the bulbs and nothing checked the socket and no power, checed
fuses and nothing is blown that i can see. I honestly dont know where else to
look or check
Follow the wires back from the tail light sockets to a plugin. Just disconnect and check for power there. Sometimes just re-plugging the plugin back together solves the problem.
On my blazer I have had to splice in sockets for some on the front, they seemed to just burn up or turn black and fall apart. Its a good Idea to use dielectric bulb grease in sockets but may not stop the Plastic socket from Deteriorating.
