Sounds like a major tuneup, too much air getting in when flooring the peddle! My opinion only a back alley mechanic would find it sometimes before a shop!!

okay...could be many things, but we will start with an idle air control...put one of these units in there and report~

The fuel pressure regulator if hose is cracked will not issue full fuel pressure and will be sucking air leading to high-idle/bad performance...this is a non OBD-II device which would not be picked up by the onboard diagnostics~ bad moojoo man-

back to basics...make sure the battery is newer than five years old as will start playin' hell with your alternator...the 1/0 cable off the battery as it attaches to the chassis should be wirebrushed clean...what you don't know is that it actually 'welds' this connection with every use and shared the same ground with the dainty electronics of the ECU....yes combine a 300 amp load with a 120mA ground....smart....not~

The EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) valve is supposed to engage when combustion temperatures get too hot, and upon decelleration...yours could be disassembled and cleaned with bra-kleen~

No "mark helpful"? all of these solutions could provide excellent performance~ what ya gonna do with a drunken sailor?
