Truck will idle and with very light pressure on gas pedal rpm will slightly increase with no misses or hesitation but still won't build enough RPM to a shift up from 1st to 2nd gear.

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After running truck extremely low on gas
numerous times and completely running out
a few times because something caused my
truck to start burning through a lot more gas
than usual and also gas gauge not reading
accurately I started having more and more
problems  and have tested and replaced
multiple parts fixing some issues but still
have the main and original problem that has
completely shut my truck down  due to it
stalling losing all power and after sitting a
while sometimes will crank and run in 1st
gear but won't ever take the gas pedal
depressed without completely smothering
the motor.

Sounds like you've got a blockage somewhere in your fuel delivery system. First thing to check is the fuel filter. The reason you should try not to run 'em out of gas is: All the dirt and crap that's sitting on the bottom of the fuel tank gets sucked up by the pump, clogging up the filter or worse clogging up your injectors. I'd recommend replacing the fuel filter first to see if that cures it. Good Luck.
