Truck starts on second try. First try just cranks too long.

My truck cranks and cranks for too long and I'm
worried to let keep trying. I learned to crank it for
about 3 seconds. Stop. Then turn the ignition again
and it starts. I've gone through opinions, quotes I
can't afford, and I'm sure answers that aren't
correct. I love this truck. Is there a way to pinpoint
this on my own with some insight? Trial and error
is a great way to grow. If you have time. I
appreciate any knowledge you could offer. Thank
you

Do those quotes include what they suspect is wrong? Have you also checked for OBD trouble codes? All we know on this side of the board is that your starting circuit works, and that it won't start until a second try, so maybe get the fuel pressure checked?

I also suspect the fuel pressure. Start with a fuel filter change.

I have same issue. New MAF sensor, AIC valve, Fuel pump, Fuel filter, Crankshaft position sensor. Still it takes 3 cranks for it to start and run smoothly. Then its fine until next day it seems.

I have a 2008 Ford Explorer Sport Trac 4x4 4.6L V8, i drive for work a lot, the other week i am going down the highway at about 70mph and start to switch lanes ( turning slightly to the left) on a left turning curve, all of a sudden my steering whell breaks over slightly and i hear a intermitent grinding noise. When i turn back to the right the noise stops. Now tonight on my way home i am driving straight down the road and my whole truck starts to wobble extremely hard, i mean the front is moving left and the rear is moving right and going back and fourth until i turn the wheel to the left or right.
