Question type: Maintenance & Repair

cple wks ago while driving it fluttered and died,2times. was told it might be TPS
sensor and need to clean or replace throttle body. now it wont start, cranks but
no start. found it it could be cap n rotor problem too but would that cause
fluttering? or could it be multiple issues? i know to start with basics, but want to
know what is common on GMs to cause this.

Fuel pressure is the biggest thing, should check fuel pressure at the schrader valve on the intake, it should be 56 to 63 lbs.

ok i will check that first. when i bought it i was told the owner had replaced the f/p but i forgot when. i have change the f/f out a cple months ago too. but i will check fuel pressure.

Then when you do let it build up pressure by cycling the key to the highest pressure then let it sit for 3 minutes with the gauge on. If it drops more than 5 lbs. then it is an indication of leaky fuel injectors, spider lines, or fuel regulator.
