Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am the original owner of a 2000 S500. Rust everywhere. Five to seven thousand dollars to paint it. Paint shop specializes in M-Benz, BMW etc. tells me rust will return in two years. Any thoughts or advice?

I have not heard of any compensation or manufacturer defects on this vehicle. What is mileage? 7/70 or 6/60 are standard for perforation warranty.

148,000 miles-the rust is really bad. The car runs very well otherwise. Thanks
