I HAVE A 1994 MB S420. I TURN OFF THE IGNITION KEY AND THE QA/C FAN CONTINUE TO RUN. THE ONLY I CAN GET IT TO STOP IS TO UNCONNECT THE NEG BAT CABLE. CAN SOME ONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS HAPPEWNING OR WHAT PART I MAY NEED. THANKS BG 06-11-2007 1920
WHAT REPLACEMENT PART DO I NEED TO REPLACE TO STOP AC FAN FROM RUNNING AFTER THE IGNITION IS TURNED OFF. WHAT PART HAS GONE BAD? SWITCH, REGULATOR. THE ONLY REMENDY NOW IS UN HOOKING THE BATTERY NEGATIVE POLE. CLIMATE CONTROL. HELP!
HI DICSI!!! WHY ARE WE YELLING? HAVE YOU WAITED THE FAN OUT? SOME SETUPS CAN RUN FOR RELATIVELY EXTENDED PERIODS OF TIME. YOU SHOULD DROP A DIME TO YOUR LOCAL MB SERVICE MANAGER AND SEE WHERE HE WOULD LOOK FIRST. IF THIS IS A REAL ISSUE HE HAS SEEN IT BEFORE AND WILL LEAD YOU STRAIGHT TO THE FAILING COMPONENT. GOOD LUCK!
Make sure your car's engine is not running hot,or at least it doesn't think it is.A faulty temp sender will fool the car into thinking its running hot, keeps fans running after shutoff.Wiring harness for engine needs to be inspected. When harness degrades, can short and activate fans
