dash lights want work
The dash lights are controlled by the small knob to the LEFT of the outside temp indicator in the middle of your display - turn it left or right. This may need replacement OR you may have simply blown a fuse. Check under the hood in the fuse box - they are listed as to function; remove and replace/reseat the fuse.
replaced fuse lights still not working
My 1991 300e has two bulbs in the dash, unlikely both out at the same time, so the potentiometer or dimmer switch is the next suspect after fuse check. MercedesSource video helped my pull the instrument cluster and check dimmer and bulbs. https://youtu.be/QpNA8EuSxRA
