My 1991 300e has two bulbs in the dash, unlikely both out at the same time, so the potentiometer or dimmer switch is the next suspect after fuse check. MercedesSource video helped my pull the instrument cluster and check dimmer and bulbs. https://youtu.be/QpNA8EuSxRA
